The New Castle facility contains superior stretcher leveling equipment and specially designed annealing furnaces for the production of heat and corrosion resisting special grades. In 2003, the New Castle plant met and exceeded its commitment of a 98% on-time delivery performance.

Outokumpu provides stainless steel solutions by producing exceptional special qualities such as PRODEC®, for improved machinability. We also provide special grades like 254 SMO®, used for over 20 years to provide longer material life in the most corrosive environments; 2205 Code Plus Two®, one of our duplex stainless steel for corrosion resistance, toughness, weldability, and high strength; and 153 MA and 353 MA® - designed for use in lower and higher temperature ranges, respectively.
